Does anyone know how to acquire an OEM wiring diagram manual for the 2020 Transit? Per recommendation from @[email protected], I put myself on Helm's "notified when this item becomes available" email list back in November, but it's still not available even though the website says that it's expected on 12/31/19.

I have a 2020 Transit on order with dual alternators, dual batteries, upfitter switches, and modified wiring harness. I plan to do a camper build, and I would like to design my electrical system before the van arrives.

Thanks!

You probably won't need the wiring diagram. Any electrical connections you make to the vehicle shouldn't be to OEM wiring. There is a Customer Connection Point (CCP) for all power sources, and then the upfitter switches and modified harness should give you everything else you need. Details for all of that should be in the Body and Equipment Mounting Manual. The 2020 version has been posted at Publications | Body Builder Advisory Service

You are probably on your own, No one here had any wiring diagrams until the later part of 2016. People were getting wiring info back then for the North American Transit from the European Transit forum.

Here a link to the wiring diagrams and service manual from Ford.

Thanks, but that link didn't work. I assume you were linking to the online manuals. When paying for a temporary subscription to the online manuals, can PDFs be easily downloaded and saved?

If my link does not work that means you are using a phone, A computer is required to view my link and the Service manuals downloaded from both Ford and Helm.
It is possible to get paper wiring diagrams from Helm inc only, They also sell used copies on Ebay

Have the same options on order (minus the upfitter switches - can't order with the manual pushdown parking brake) and also wanting to design the electrical system while I'm waiting on Ford for the front/rear camera parts problem to get resolved.

Anyway, the Helm website now says the wiring diagram won't be available until 12/31/2020 - yes, 11 months from now. I haven't bought the Ford service that Michael posted - don't want spend the money only to find out the info on the dual alternators isn't available. The info isn't available in the current BEMM (Jan 2020 edition). It makes mention of them:

Twin Alternator
Some Gas vehicles are to be supplied with twin-alternator.
Refer to: Charging System.

But then no information is located in the Charging System section. Right now, I think we are stuck until the BEMM is updated again. If you find anything in the Ford service manuals, let us know.

We're supposed to pay $86 for a wiring diagram for a vehicle that just cost us $40+k???? That's absurd. Thanks a lot Ford. 😖

We just picked up our van a couple weeks ago with the same package and have been really struggling to figure out the electrical. Granted we're novices, but you'd think basic info would be available. We emailed our dealer service with a few specific questions...and haven't gotten any response. Geez, you spend $40 grand you'd think they could reply???
We're not even sure what the modified wiring harness is for! 🤪 Do I need to consult the tech forum?

Someone said before, your system should start at the CCPs. It's a fantastic connection approaching 175 amps, If, you've optioned your Transit the correct way.The best way is to simply take off this.

Ironically, I just got a hard copy of the 2020 Wiring Diagram manual today. $35 off of eBay. It's over 3100 pages so it's going to take a while to digest. Not sure it is going to be any help at all with buildouts - it is truly wiring diagrams with zero text explaining anything. Like T town said, the CCPs (Customer Connection Points as explained in the BEMM) should be the first option for electrical power. Fortunately, the BEMM was updated since the last time this thread was active with a bit more info on the electrical system. Still no where near where it needs to be but I think that will be the last revision for 2020.

I ordered a 2021 a few weeks ago through Ed.
I'm trying to make as little connection to the Transits electrical system as possible. I plan on using the 175 amp,120 amp continuous, CCP. That will be the only place other than ground where the Transit will connect with my house system.
I ordered the ambulance package so I'm going to assume that system is robust enough to power the CCP to its potential.
I'm not going to tap into any van lights, no upfitter switches, nothing directly off the battery, etc... Honestly I don't trust my electrical skills to not cause harm if I try to tie into the van anywhere besides the CCP. I'm making it as simple stupid as I can.
If I stick to this I dont feel I would need any kind of van electrical diagrams. That is until something on the van goes bad and then I might need some info if I can't trust the dealer or they are stumped themselves.

I'm mainly posting this b/c I didn't see any pics of this exactly online. https://fuse-box.info/ford/ford-transit-custom-2019-2020-fuses-and-relays The diagrams I found aren't 100% correct. 6... Passenger fuse box. I don't have one of these, so there is an open 150A fuse. Maybe useful for...
